Godfrey Chisholm has firmly earned his spot as a household name in Toronto’s media landscape, bringing over 20 years of commercial radio and television experience as a dynamic Host, Deejay, Producer, and Creative Director.

Godfrey’s professional radio journey ignited in 2006 as the weeknight Producer, Host, and Deejay at JOY1250 in Oakville, Ontario. His natural charisma and sharp production skills quickly caught the attention of regional media executives. Just one year later, Chisholm landed a prominent television show deal based in Burlington, Ontario with the CTS Network.

Driven by a passion for uplifting media, Chisholm continued to build and expand his loyal audience by developing and syndicating radio programming for local networks across Canada. Throughout this era, he produced and promoted some of the highest-caliber gospel showcases in the country, collaborating with legendary, well-noted gospel artists from across the Caribbean, Canada, the United States, and Africa.

In 2013, after years of successful partnership with JOY1250, Chisholm transitioned into an exciting new radio chapter at Toronto’s G98.7. Stepping into the dual roles of Creative Director and weekend morning co-host/deejay, he became affectionately known across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) airwaves as the “Certified Grooveologist.”

Godfrey dedicated himself to this influential role until 2020, when he briefly stepped away from the corporate broadcasting industry to pursue other entrepreneurial goals and lifelong dreams.

By 2024, the pull of the airwaves returned. Refusing to return as just another traditional radio employee within Canada’s corporate media structure, Godfrey chose a visionary path. He founded and launched the HOT1AM Christian Broadcasting Network—a platform completely dedicated to merging urban lifestyle with faith.
